Dead 9700(Telus)

A buddy gave me a dead 9700 Bold, Telus branded, and I was wondering if it was worth trying to replace the mainboard. I tried swapping in a battery that actually works, to no avail. But I have no idea if the berry was turned on while there was water in the system. However, I have to think it's dead as no lights came on when I plugged it into a usb cable attached to my computer either.

Anyone know where I can get this fixed up for a decent price, or maybe a place I can buy a new mainboard and replace it myself?

Check to see if its liquid damaged. If not, they only came out in november so it should still have warranty. Send it away and they'll fix it for free.

Close to 100% that there is some form on liquid damage, already tried the bowl of rice trick to dry it out. Any places in town that do this cheaply?
