I know a few of you rock some sick trucks (im looking at you im2fst4u). I am getting some rims and tires for my truck and have narrowed it to 2 places.

- 1010tires
- Urban Expressions.

Now 2 questions.

1.) If it is cheaper off 1010tire is there a good reason to go to urban expressions (not to be rude but tire warranty is non-existent now a days, so why pay more?)

2.) Does anyone know what rims Urban can order in? Disadvantage of not having a website I dont even know if they will have what I want.

Cheers,

Cos

Well only you can answer whether or not you feel the savings (if there are some savings of course) are justified ordering online...

No I don't have a website as I am someone who prefers working one on one with somebody, helping them weed through the options and injecting some experience and opinion which might not be something you previously considered, and in the end work out better than you might have imagined. Many times people come in with an idea of what they like, only to leave with a completely new point of view that leaves them much happier than they were expecting, and that is not something you usually get just cruising pictures online. That being said, many people just know exactly what they want and that is it, plain and simple, and there is nothing wrong with that either.

Working with a client one on one is what I have built my reputation on and I really have no desire to become another tire and wheel website as it is not the side of the business I like (I did the internet tire store for multiple years in the past so I have a TON of experience with that side)...

If you are more comfortable in your own home looking at items and making your decisions from the internet, that is totally acceptable and my business model may not be right for you, but if you have time to stop by the shop and spend some time talking to me (if you have ever tried calling me or e-mailing me, that is the reason I am hard to get ahold of because anybody who has taken the time to come by the shop gets 100% priority with my time), I would be extremely pleased to try and help you choose a set of wheels and tires you will be happy with for a long time to come!

I didnt mean the savings question as an offense so dont take it that way. I was more thinking of issues people had buying from the US and issues related to that. Obviously the helping out a fellow beyonder, canadian business person, and the after service is a positive.

I didnt want to go in and waste your time if the style of rim I am looking for is not something you can help with. I know the chrome 22/24's are something you can do but I am looking for something a little more rugged. I know your busy as hell so I figured the last thing you wanted was some guy standing at your counter for an hour going through books. If you're okay with it then I would love to do that.

If I get a chance I will stop by the shop.

Oh no offence taken whatsoever man! lol! The way I respond to posts sometimes leaves my meaning being misunderstood. I too meant no offence at all...

I actually do a lot of 4x4, aggressive offroad fitments as well. I was an avid offroader for years before moving out to Alberta. I actually prefer people coming by the shop over e-mails and phone calls as it lets me get a much better feel for what you are trying to accomplish. Please do stop by if you have a chance and I will see if we can come up with something for you at a great deal!

^^ Sounds good, I didnt feel offended. I could just understand how you may feel the need to protect your business.. This may be a really good thing as I dont know the exact rims I want as I dont want a concrete princess but I find some of the Pro-Comp rims and such are a little too much like monsters and XD's.

BTW Russ is a HUGE proponent of your's so I owe a lot of my trust in you to him.

I will come by when I get a chance with work. I got new tires but at 35x10 they are a little to oddly shaped for my truck, seems like most people get 18 or 20 by 9's with +55 offset with 35x12.5 tires. I dont know what the hell I am going to do with my current tires, maybe winters or something because they are 10 ply's and will last for ever I have a feeling.

This is the same sort of size style I want to find. Not sure the rims match my truck though.

What about something like these? Still nice and aggressive looking but a bit smoother and cleaners without the big fake knobby chrome nut looking accents on the spokes
