No hot water!!!

looks like there's a problem with my water heater
we have tried to restart it but it goes off right away
anyone have any suggestions on who I can call that wont be to pricey
I found Mr Rooters online but have used them before and they are expensive!!

If it uses a pilot light it's most likely the thermalcouple. Pretty easy to replace.

How old is the water heater?

tried replacing the thermalcouple and that didn't work
the water heater is about 4 years old

Could be the gas valve, i had to replace that on mine last year.. Emco had it for $120ish ?

I replaced the thermocouple and it still went out, so I replaced the gas valve, and wammo, back in action..

Alot of the valves have a 1 time trip safety on them.

Also, you need to have some experiene with gas piping and stuff to do this yourself. lol
