DRAGON FLI EMPIRE is the dynamic duo of Teekay and DJ Cosm who appeal to music fans with their upbeat, melodic and golden-age inspired hip hop sound. Known for bringing fun into hip hop, their live performance takes you on a funky boom-bap journey of positivity. Dragon Fli Empire are a fundamental part of the Alberta hip hop movement whose success has been spurred in part by the popularity of the bus-rider's anthem, "Mount Pleasant" and the Calgary theme song "CGY". They have performed extensively throughout North America. FALLAN SOLDIER hails from Vancouver and “specializes in hard-hitting beats and genre-mixing tracks with inventive lyrics and unique vocals” (AnE Vibe). He released his debut album “Above The Call Of Duty” in 2009 which NXEW has called “fresh, upbeat and exceptional for its sound...overall a great piece of work.” His exciting live show includes tracks from his album as well as some brand new club/dance tracks thrown in for this tour. THE JOE, based in Edmonton, has been called a “truly gifted lyricist with a talent that will surprise, amuse and downright move you...he renews your faith in the art of rhyme” (CBC Radio). Whether through his independent label Old Ugly Records that represents and publishes the finest of the scene unseen, or as The Joe, he tirelessly produces albums, presents gigs and performs across Canada with hundreds of notable musicians. RICCA RAZOR SHARP: Hip hop/rap artist, producer, and award winning freestyler Ricca Razor Sharp is an energetic and topical songwriter with a knack for combining contemporary and political substance with irresistibly catchy material. With over a decade of stagemanship under his belt he has toured Canada on three occasions, once as Ricca Razor Sharp, and twice as the front-man for alt-rock-funk project Phattoe in the early aughts. He has recently returned from a tour of BC in support of his new album “Opposites Attract”.
