Whats a Japanese license plate worth here?

Just wondering what you would think a Japanese plate would be worth here?

Real ones are hard to get, apparently when your car dies or you sell it etc... you have to return the plate to the registry/gov't.

Also depends, is it just a normal plate or one with clear green plastic characters so it can be lit from behind?

Real however I don't think it has green plastic letters.

Really is worth what someone wants to pay for it. There are so many fakes out there who is to know the difference? I got mine from a relative in Japan who had a hell of a time getting it... however we will not put it on the outside of the car as we don't want it stolen.

The ones you can light up are more rare but were cool to see in Japan at night on cars.

If someone wants, I have a real Japanese plate with green transparent characters. Also included is the mounting bracket with lights to light up the numbers at night.

Not sure why there is such a large hole in the plate... generally everything there to do with their cars are in very good condition, that is the only odd thing about that plate, other than that it looks real. Would have to have someone that speaks Japanese tell you what area it is from.

I have a feeling those plates on Ebay are stolen, that's why they have big holes.

Lower number plates there too were more prestigous, I guess the equivalent of a personalized plate here. Lots of high end cars with 1-1 on them etc...
