I was driving this morning and there there was a slight shake in the wheel and rumbling sound, now on my way home the wheel started shaking like crazy and the front right tire is wobbling pretty bad. But when i accelerate and go about 80ish+ its fine and when i start moving at first its good, just when im going 50-60ish its really bad

Any ideas?

I was gonna take it down to my mechanic tomorrow but hes on peigan trail and im in panorama, and im not sure if its safe to drive it down there.

Car is a 08 civic si, not sure if that matters or not

Did you check the lug nuts are tight?

How old are your tires? Possible tread separation? Hit any curbs or anything lately?

Nope didnt hit no curb or anything, tires are practically new

Just started doing it this morning out of nowhere

There aren't really a lot of things it can be. If the lugs are tight and the tire is mounted properly, then I'd venture to guess a balancing weight(s) fell off.

If your tires are new, check for tread separation or defects, do a visual inspection for now.

No idea, Like i mean the wheel (rim) itself is wobbling

Cause my buddy stuck his head out the window and the tire was wobbling pretty bad

And it sounds like its hitting something underneath the car, the rumbling sound is really loud to now

Stop car, call tow truck. Do these steps before you loose a ball joint or something and crash into some innocent person.

So im assuming it wouldnt be good to drive it down there?

Is there any temporary fix i can do just to get me there?

I dont really want to pay for a tow truck

Anyone know any cheap tow truck companies?

I called one place and there asking about a 100, is this average or are there cheaper?

Find a friend with a trailer and take it down there.

Oh shit... that's ENTIRELY different. The car isn't safe to drive; please don't, if it is really that noisy. The last thing you need is for that sucker to break off going 100 on Deerfoot.

It could be a bearing, but those will generally give you some warning before the blow out. I'd say tie-rod end or ball joint seems likely. I'm pretty sure once you hoist it up, whatever it is will become obvious pretty quickly.

Unfortunately, tows here in Calgary are pricey. I think it is well worth the $100.

Well that sucks, but at least your wheels aren't about to fall off...
