Need Suggestions on Mediterranean-area Adventures early September

So I'm planning a Euro trip for the first 2 weeks of September at least am am tossing around Greece / Greek Islands, Croatia, Turkey and somewhere else as potential destinations right now, but have nothing really set in stone. I have already done most of mainland Europe. Just wondering if anyone here knows of any must see destinations, festivals, concerts, adventures, etc. in that part of the world that are going on from ~Sept 4 to the 17th ish.

I need to do at least 1 Greek island for sure and Istanbul is a potential on my list. Maybe I'll talk to one of my lebanese friends about a hookup there...might be a lot easier with some local connections.
