LF: someone to fix laptop

im lookin for someone to diagnose my laptop, it either has a problem with the cable from the motherboard to the lcd screen which could be damaged or worn,the backlight could be gone or the inverter needs replacing. basically diagnose the problem and replace it because the lcd will not show whats happening but i know its on i need someone that knows what they are doing thanks

laptop is a dell studio 1537 running vista
it over heatted and caused this problem

So it seems like it's working just no video? Can you plug in a monitor and it works fine?

Usually if a laptop overheats and you get video problems it means that the graphic chip got fried (usually with nvidia chipsets).

I love fixing these types of things but I just do it as a hobby on laptops I pick up for cheap. Want to sell this thing cheap (probably not)? ;)
