wats a good site for stock 1/4 mile times for most cars??
ive tried looking, most only go to mid 90s, i jus want somethign to compare performance vs. friends cars till spring rolls around...soemthing w/ not only the fastest trim would b great,
ie will show a celica GT and not jus the GTS
so far www.xtreme-tuning.com has a decent archive for specs, but, still...only goes till like 96 ish
maybe we shouyld create a beyond archive for this? lol or not jus an idea...
but any sites would b appreciated..
thanx

shaving 2.4 seconds is a lot harder than you think...

not trying to be discouraging, its very possible but takes a lot more than a couple simple bolt ons...

unless you were thinking bolt on turbo

getting power outta NA I4s is a lot harder than ppl think
intake and exhaust is "up to 20 hp gain together", but id wager ur not looking at more than 5 to the wheels for most setups

boost is the way to go :burnout: then throw soem bolt ons,

1997 Mercedes-Benz SLK230 0-60 6.9 1/4 15.2

ROFL!!!!!!!!! Bench racing kicks ass!!!!!!! I'm faster than a SLK230, I must be running a 14.9 1/4 mile

Maybe by summer I can hit the low 12's ;) :D

I'm still trying to figure out how they got such good numbers from a 230, maybe a 320...

Where do you get your data?

All data is taken from a variety of car magazines and online resources. Each source is verified and entered into the system by car-stats personnel. Unverifiable resources are not entered into the system. If you believe you have more accurate information, please submit it to us.

Don't forget to take altitude into consideration, don't think your car can do the same time here in calgary as it is posted.

the only way you might be able to hit 15's is if you strip the whole interior out of your car, get some light wheels and bolt ons. But its HIGHLY doubtfull that that would do it. I think the best you can hope for is high 16's. Your car is gonna pull 18's & 19's stock

adds to bench racing :D - my gf's stock is300 ran a 16.3 here...its an auto, pretty hard to screw up...its listed on the site as 15.5. So Gemini I would guess you car would be somewhere deep in the 17's :dunno:

well the bottom line here is that benchracing is incredibly stupid, and those sites are pretty much useless for anything other than entertainment. there are so many factors in 1/4 mile that those sites dont account for.

Winning the lottery would make me happy too. And you have about as much chance of hitting 15's as I do of winning the lottery. And I don't buy lotto tickets. ;)
