Courses which may be used as required Science options in the GLGY major: MATH311, MATH321, MATH331 (or PMAT331, which is no longer offered), MATH349, MATH353, MATH381, AMAT311, AMAT413, AMAT415, CPSC217 or CPSC231 or CPSC235, CPSC219 or CPSC233, PHYS321, PHYS323, PHYS325, PHYS363, CHEM311, CHEM315, CHEM331, CHEM333, CHEM351, CHEM353, CHEM371, CHEM373, BIOL205, BIOL231, BIOL233, ZOOL375, STAT211, STAT213, STAT357

NOTE: Must be a 300 level, I am maxed out in junior classes.

Any ideas? So far I am leaning towards zool 375...

Definitely Stats 211/213. Very straightforward easy stats classes.

I took the equivalent of those Stats classes as well. I put in zero effort and got A's in both.

I am maxed out in junior courses so it has to be a 300 level though. I am on hold with the undergrad advisors, going to beg and hope they let me do one more junior class.

Sorry! I didn't read your bolded text. Consider One of the 300 level physics classes, 321 or 323 if you found the other early ones easy.

stat357 or math349 isn't too bad. they are relatively "easy" if you go to class and do your homework

i would say not chem 351 what year are you based off of in geology? i dont remember having to fill this requirement. I took chem 351 and it doesnt count towards my degree fml

...unless i used my junior courses to fill it and used senior options later...

ive taken all those chems already, and they all basically sucked, so rule those out immediatly.

If you liked calc i would take the math 349, or if physics is easy for you then take the physics, if neither i would likely take the zool

I believe for APEGGA, they will only recognize one stats course regardless of the level (ie: 200, 300 etc). I can't remember if you told me you took one, but if you have, I wouldn't bother taking another.

I'll try to find the APEGGA qualification PDF.

Here it is:

My degree navigator is based off of the 06-07 outline.
My completion is at 19.5/20, the last 0.5 is going to have to be from the classes in my first post.
I am going to try and set up a meeting with the dean of science to see if he will allow me to take one more junior course. If he does, biol 205 is the one I am banking on.

If he doesn't, I will probably end up doing a math, possibly math 349.

Matt, Yeah I have taken stats 213, so stats is probably out of the question.

Edit: So for those of you that have taken maths (specifically math 349)
Recommendation between these two profs?:
Venceslava Stastna
Yousry Elsabrouty

thanks

I've only even taken two math courses (211/249) as they were degree requirements in another faculty I was in. Elsabrouty is one of those legendary profs at the U of C that even people like myself who are in completely different faculties hear about (because they're that good). Apparently there was a constant problem with engineering students from other sections who would all cram into the lecture hall to get their AMAT lectures from Elsabrouty istead of the crap prof that they were registered with....administrators had to resort to timetable checking of students as they entered the lecture hall. Heard similar stories about Len Bos for AMAT classes as well.

calculus take with elsabrouty no doubt...

351 calc3 is easy, 353 is a bit harder/annoying

321 and 323 is not easy (if you look at the stats of how many students fail)

311 is a bitch too not worth the effort if its an option.

as for cpsc courses... i hated all of them even the 200 level ones.

best bet is the calc/amat courses
