I don't have much knowledge in the digital camera world... so looking around to buy one is a challenge... but I think I have narrowed it down. I have a Canon in mind Powershot s30/s40 here: http://www.intoko.ca/markt/7/16/ --- is this price reasonable?

If you wanna learn about digitals, and see how they perform compared to other cameras in their feature range, check out www.megapixel.net (http://www.megapixel.net) . This site is a great resource for anyone not too digital camera savvy. I ended up getting the Canon Powershot A70, and what a sweet camera it is. But check it out. The prices for comparos are in US dollars, but the feature comparisons, and the ratings system, top notch and easy to read. Hope that helps you in your search.

Yeah, that's for two cameras. All those prices are bloated.

Where did you find that deal? Retail is around $750 CAD. Under $500 is a great deal.

Yeah, it was a steal. I found it off ebay a few months ago, the guy had a few of them for sale all for pretty cheap.

Go to Don's Photo on the corner of 17th Ave SW and 11th St SW (next to Mac's)

Their cameras are generally 10-15% cheaper than Vistek, London Drugs or The Camera Store. Ask for Derrick if you are buying more than one and he will give you a package deal on top of already saving some money.

I've been looking too.I decided on a Canon A60 . I found one on e-bay that came as a package deal with rechargable batteries , charger ,case , and a 128mb card for about $360 CDN . Now I'm bidding on a CP100 printer..
