Try mopac maybe but I have never seen amsoil gear lubes on shelves in calgary. You can order it online on amsoil's website though.

I went to Mopac yesterday, they said they don't carry Amsoil. I also checked Canadian Tire and Part Source, and though they do carry some Amsoil fluids, they don't have the gear or transmission oil.

I was thinking of doing it online, but was hoping I could change my fluids this weekend.

So I emailed every Calgary distributor of Amsoil, and one of them got back to me. A guy named Frederic says he carries both in stock, though his address seems like a home address. So I'll go tomorrow. Thanks. If anyone wants his info I can post it up on here for future reference.

Chances are it -is- his home address. It costs $20 to become an Amsoil dealer :P

heh, that's probably why most of them were shaw email addresses. I wonder if you get a discount for being a dealer.

Oh, my bad, they call it "Preferred Customer" now, you actually need a brick-and-mortar store to become an official dealer. Either way, you pay like $50 up front and save a big chunk on fluids. You make your money back doing all the fluids on one car so it's not a terrible idea. Becomes even better when you start charging your buddies.

Napa here in Cochrane carries pretty much the whole Amsoil lineup. Not sure if other Napas do. I can buy at wholesale myself, but Napa is more convenient for me and wasn't marked up much at all. Basically 1/2 of what Canadian tire sells for.

My buddy is one of those Amsoil dealers and he can get anything amsoil makes. It can be delivered to your door or you can pick it up at his house. If you are interested, PM me and I will give you his name and number.

I become a prefered customer once every couple years and then stock up. Their western warehouse is in Edmonton so online orders arrive pretty quickly.

My entire order was $50, so I couldn't justify the preferred customer program. If I used their motor oil though, that would end up being pretty decent savings.
