Since you're going to be in the Seattle area, maybe stay at Hotel 1000. While you are at it, take a pouty-face/arrested picture in front.

Are you going "Mantracker" in pursuit of the elusive Banerjee?

"There's an old saying in the Hotel 100— I know it's on Beyond.ca, probably in Hotel 1000— that says, banerjee me once, shame on — shame on you. banerjee me — you can't get banerjeed again."

Not sure if you've seen it, but on HarleyDavidson.com they have a sweet route planner that shows affiliate hotels and gas stations and points of interest.

I developed an epic 9-12 month road trip while I was bored here at work. Haven't decided if I'd like to do it in a car or on a bike yet.

Couer d'Alane is like Kelowna, very small but quite nice. A day is all you will need in that city. Spokane is quite close by and its much bigger, but the city itself is nothing special and kinda resembles Red Deer.

When in Seattle, plan a trip out to Bellevue(Coast Plaza Hotel) is quite nice and cheap on Fri and Sat nites. As for Seattle itself not sure what hotel to recommend, but close to downtown would be a smart choice, as you can walk around downtown without having to park.

If you are looking for a more touristy thing, then go for the 5 attractions for one price. The city pass is $60, but really fun. If you can only do one of the attractions(http://www.citypass.com/seattle) then do the ship cruise.

Also, when in Vancouver area, its a must that you go to White Rock. Very nice little place.

Also great calamari here (http://maps.google.ca/maps?q=white+rock&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=White+Rock,+Greater+Vancouver+Regional+District,+British+Columbia&gl=ca&ei=hD8gTPDuOc-HnQfOlqxj&ved=0CB0Q8gEwAA&ll=49.023124,-122.811441&spn=0.032926,0.090895&z=14&layer=c&cbll=49.022109,-122.808351&panoid=oiyy1KDz-WsVYPTrIDWeWw&cbp=12,357.61,,0,-31.63) The entrance is on the side and you will have to go up the stairs in order to access the restaurant, but the view is great especially on a sunny day.

Since 250km is only around 2.5 hours ride time it will be an easy ride. I generally put the limit at ~ 6 hours. On a R6 that is plenty. Any more and my butt and wrists have had enough.

If you want to make your Calgary-Vernon ride MUCH more interesting try Calgary-Revelstoke then south to Nakusp to the Farquir/Needles ferry then take Hiway 6 to Vernon. What a great ride! You may want to split it into 2 days though, it is 702 km and about 10 hours but the roads are great and way better than the boring Hiway 1. There are 2 ferries so it breaks up the day nicely.

Must of been a blast! Id love to do it in my car but its too loud to handle driving on the streets sometimes letalone taking it for a long road trip lol..

Might have to take a look into a nice bike cruiser.

Not entirely sure whats up with this pic but....

Cool trip!!! Seattle is really interesting isnt it? If you ever have the chance, go check out Portland. Its a lot like Seattle, I really liked that place. I was planning on riding out there again this summer, but we didnt actually have a summer this year... so that kind of killed that. :nut:
If we actually HAVE a summer after this repeating winter, then I'll do it next year fo' shizzle!
