Calgary - Former Flame Rob Ramage has been charged with impaired driving causing death, following a three-car collision Monday night.


His passenger, former Chicago Blackhawk Keith Magnuson, 56, was killed in the accident just north of Toronto. The two were coming from a funeral for former NHLer Keith McCreary, who died last week after a battle with cancer.

Ramage, 44, broke his leg in the accident. He played for the Flames from 1987 to 1989, going on to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs and four other teams, before retiring after the 1994 season.

Holy crap, what kind of driving do you have to do to have your car end up looking like that? My condolences to the Magnuson familiy. And they were coming back from a funeral no less :(

That's terrible! I remember Ramage from our Stanley Cup days...use to like him, now I hate him.

They were coming back from a (friends) funeral, I can't imagine that the Ramage was thinking very straight when he got liquored up and jumped in his ride.. sad story.
