Hi, I just joined the forum after buying an '89 CRX Si last week. The car's body is in great shape with 131K miles and I paid $1600 for it in NJ, and I'm looking forward to putting a lot more miles on it.

I signed up for CARFAX and don't need it any more, so if you want me to run any VINs for you, reply to this post and I'll do it for you until the CARFAX runs out on Jan 5th.

Hopefully some of you can help me out finding some parts for the "new" CRX. Here is what I need, and if you have it to sell, trade, or have a tip where I could find these I'd be forever grateful:

1) Heater/vent control panel, (mine's cracked, falling apart around temperature knob).
2) The door that goes over the buttons on the clock, (or the entire clock with door).
3) One little end cap for the mirror control handle.
4) One center cap for the alloy rims with the "H" in black in the center.
5) Driver's side black plastic trim that runs the length of the bottom of the door to match the side sill.

Please reply to this post or to [email protected]
Thanks!

Thanks for the Carfax offer, that's very cool, and I wish I was shopping for cars!

To get parts for your CRX, have a look at
www.car-part.com

Most of the folks here are in Calgary so you might not get a whole lot of help finding your parts locally, but that website should hook ya up locally and for a good price too. :)

For you car, you might have alot of luck at a self serve auto wrecker, like Pick a Part.

Your car is starting to get to the age where most places dont want to spend the time wrecking them cause they are rusted and seized up

if you dont mind, could you run this vin number?

If your thinking about buying from A-1 honda parts, don't. They price the same as new.. I bought or priced out
2 tweeters = $40.00
cavalier headlight = $130.00 (it's $120.00 new)
Chin spoiler for a 1989 civic Si = $60.00
used lowering springs with a bit of rust = $200.00
Yah, hit up Pick your part, I've seen at least 3 CRX's and many more honda's around 1989-90 waiting for you

Can you please run this #?

Thanks for the leads so far, and I was wondering why all the VINs I ran were in places like Quebec!

I've sent the carfax reports for all of the above requested VINs to the emails addresses shown on the Profiles, if anybody didn't get theirs just let me know. (I may have sent some twice! -sorry!)

spike7ss, I sent yours through Private Message, you had no email on profile.

illeagle, the carfax says that JM1BF2236JO152215 is not valid, but is close to JM1BF2236J0152215 1988 MAZDA/323/1.6L L4 TURBO EFI (Changed letter O to zero) so I ran that one instead and Private Messaged it to you.

I sent the carfax report to you by PM, your email is not available in your profile.
That car was totaled in '98

Alpine,
Is that a VIN? 9118211235 is not even long enough to be a VIN.

Is it a phone number?

Is it a mistake?....

I don't think 911 can be an area code. Just my one cent.
