I have about 5g in repairs including the tranny, and I love this motor, it sounds great and is amazing on the highway but the cost of repairs is awful and I could use more power.

So I've been thinking about replacing it with an AMG motor, or, more realistically for the price, an LS1.

Could I do this for aroung 5g? I would have to have it done by July 20th, and I'm not even sure where to find an engine or if it can be found locally or transported on time.

I like the 3.2 motor, but it's way to expensive to fix for the performance it offers.

So, any suggestions, comments or advice?

FYI - I never plan on selling this car, I've spent way too much money on it and it is way too good of a car.

for the price with no prebuilt kits for your car and not fabricating it yourself... no.... less then a month to get it all together? not unless you do the work yourself and have a lot of free time... then sure... maybe.... doubtful that you can source everything locally and i have waited a lot longer then that for things in the mail, so good luck i guess?

your best bet for an engine would be to find a wrecked ls1 powered car out of the states so then you have everything you need

Also, anyone know where I can get my rotors machined?

Thanks for the advice, I'll take it into consideration.
