Hi,

I'm an undergraduate Faculty of Arts student at the University of Calgary. I was registered in a total of 4.5 full course-equivilents in the previous Fall/Winter semester. I maintained a GPA of 3.933

My understanding is that this should qualify me for the deans list? No?

If so, should I receive a letter? I haven't received anything yet... and the transcript I request 2 weeks ago did not appear to display any acknowledgement.

And another question, is there a benefit to being on the deans list? Does it matter if I got lost in the paper work? Is it worth trying to get this settled?

Faculty of Arts can be a bit slow. When I was on the Dean's List for the Faculty of Social Science it took them a while to send me a letter, but I did receive one and it was dated July 11. In Haskayne (I was in a joint degree program), their Dean's List letters for the previous winter semester were dated/sent out in May.

Your name is forever immortalized in a bronze idol, where your fellow peers can see your success and worship around it!

I thought you got money for being on the Dean's list? Well, it means you grades are good enough for scholarships but you don't get anything for being on the list itself.

Which is why I put it on my resume even though I graduated with a 3.0
