The hard section of my brake line on my winter beater Impreza basically snapped in half after a bit of spirited driving on some gravel roads out in BC, and it turns out Subaru no longer makes this part. So does anyone know where I could get a custom brake line made cheaply, or knows where I can get a brake line for a '98 Impreza L? It's basically a line with fittings on both ends, with one to connecting to the soft line, and the other to the rear drum.

Just be aware that some Japanese vehicles use metric fittings and a different flare than North American vehicles. Hold onto your old line to check and make sure you get the right one.

Yeah I've got the old line with me. I'll ask around and see who can do this. Thanks.

Walked past the rack of pre made brake line at Crappy tire last night, they have both metric and SAE threads. Any parts store will have this as well in a few lengths.

Any place which does hydraulic sales/service work can help too.. and you can probably get braided lines made for not much more than regular rubber.
