I joined Twitter just so I could follow a lot of poker players during the WSOP while I was down there. My friend that uses Twitter a lot basically uses it like a chat room. It sure beats fbook status updates every 30 seconds.

Aside from that, I use Twitter once in awhile if I feel like I have some fantastic piece of wisdom that I don't want to forget.

I use twitter to follow athletes I like and the TSN panel.
Bob Mckenzie and Darren Dregger are always tweeting stuff before they report it. They even tweet speculations which are fun to be on the inside of.
On top of that, I need to know what Floyd Mayweather is up to (tweetaholic) every hour he tweets.
Chad Johnson (banned from tweeting in the dressing room because he did it so much)
T.O.
All those cocky athletes people love to hate but they bring the entertainment factor. Its to bad Brock lesnar lives in the boonies and isnt on board.

None of my friends are on Twitter.

I didn't care for it at first but now I use it quite often. I first started getting into it when we had that really bad snow fall last December. People were tweeting about all the roads that were bad, where cars where stuck, what buses were stuck, etc.

It's kind of fun to just read what random people are rambling on about.

I mainly just follow the #YYC hashtag to see what's going on in the city. I follow a lot of news sites with it as well. I now find out about breaking news on Twitter more often than anywhere else.

My twitter name is @UltimateB, if anybody wants to follow me. I'll follow any usernames I see posted.

Like sexualbanana said, it's really a huge chat room. I've asked questions about things and I get responses back in seconds sometimes.

Twitter has it's place.

I follow all the NHL and NFL analysts/insiders.

Its nice to see stuff before it goes down, but it can adversely affect your day to day.

As an example when Calgary resigned joker i found out while i was golfing and thus I shot a 6 over on the back nine after being 2 under on the front. :banghead:

Its good for getting news updates and the most recent info on the fly and thats ultimately what its going to end up as.

Nobody gives a fuck about some nobody that has to tweet about daily things that nobody cares about.

I'm using it to follow the events at the WSOP right now. Its pretty cool reading about the hands as they happen from the different players I chose to follow.

Twitter's pretty good. I have to delete some celebs because they constantly spam their newsfeed with updates about shows and where to buy their new album. If anything it's an entertaining time waster.
