Itouch 3rd Gen. Version 4 jailbreak

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knows where or how to jailbreak a Itouch 3rd gen with version 4 on it.

I've been googling, but nothing has come up. Perhaps they haven't came out with one to jailbreak the version 4.

I was wondering if its possible to downgrade the version and jailbreak it. Or if there are any other way. I would like to have customized apps for it.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I think the 3rd gen iPod touch is like 3GS where the firmware is signed by apple, so unless you backed up your SHSH files from Cydia or whatever, you can find instructions to downgrade. I'd recommend you wait for Spirit to be released for 4.0, should work with most devices.

Yep, there's lots of free apps in the itunes App store. Or did you mean to say "is there anyway to be able to steal apps, you normally have to pay for?"
