So was outside at my work and I spot this. Thought it was a 914, or a 928 or something along those lines. Go take a peak and it's a 968. Was taking pics and the owner walks up and I apologize for taking pics of his car and he says it's quite alright and he hands me the keys and says to take it for a spin at which point I refused for some idiotic reason...

I feel like an ass for not taking him up on his offer. Guy said it's not the fastest Porsche he's had but he can put the top down and fit two full golf bags in the trunk.

I was in full work uniform. And since I serve tables I wasn't exactly as clean as I'd like to be (my shoes would of dirtied his carpets for sure) when driving a car that was this mint. Plus the doors to my work we're locked since it was after we closed. So had I went for a drive I would of been locked out of my work haha.

Which I guess wouldn't have been the end of the world haha.

on a side note you can see the owner standing with his family in one of the pics haha.

Ah, in your situation I probably would have refused as well haha.

There's a nice black one of those you see rolling around town here every now and then, it is pretty nice.

I've seen this car in the NW several times already. Beautiful!

Very nice. (Though I could do without the interior colour.)

A little bland, but pretty neat and rare.

He's right though - they were not the fastest Porsche available. Meant as a replacement for the 944 if I'm not mistaken.

The 968 is basically a rebodied 944. The interior is identical to the later 944's. The 3.0L engine was carried over from the 944 S2 and got Variocam for something like another 20hp. The 6 speed transmission was new. That's about it.

soloracer's Motec 968 Turbo Widebody is one of my favorite cars of all time.

Cool car. Oddly enough, there are 2 other 968s with the exact same color combo rolling around town

So if I were to throw the keys at you some day you would accept the drive? ;)

I remember seeing that car probably 3 or 4 years ago. We were in my friends 3 series driving up to Lake Louise for brunch. We followed you for a while. Very nice car. You don't see very many wide bodied yellow Porsche's around, which is the reason I still remembered it.
