If the skunk had sprayed in the garage, well that would have been an ending. Good going on the fishing, smart too. Watch out for his return, where he got food previously now becomes his hunting grounds.... he will be back.

Any food in the garage? Any pet food around? Get it out of there. I would get anything of value out of the garage as well, once sprayed it is garbage. Skunks do spray when startled, so beware.
