Reclaimed wood / lumber / metal work

Does anyone know where I can where get my hands on some reclaimed lumber? I'm looking for old doors and flooring from barns, churches, houses. I tried asking around and short of going to a dump yard, I haven't been able to get a good answer.

Good luck on this. Only thing I would suggest is to call up a whole bunch of reno or hardwood companies and tell them you'd be interested in buying the old stuff from them and to give you a call the next time they have a project. Most if not all companies these days will just trash the old stuff without giving a second thought because it's not worth their time and efforts to remove and preserve the old stuff, then try to sell it unless it was like a nice antique solid oak door or something.

For this kinda thing... You either look on craigslist/kijiji -or start touring the small country roads - look for a place with a lot of old buildings - go ask the farmer if you can help him out by tearing one (or more) down... But they know it's worth something - so have some cash in hand for bargaining.

there's a place close to downtown (on 11ave sw i think), bali and beyond or something like that, that sells actual furniture from reclaimed wood. i think they are the only ones in town

There's a place in Ramsay, they sell 100 yr old doors and the likes of which, I'll try to remember what it's called and I'll post the address.
