U of C - arky 201 or geog253

Hi... arky 201 or geog253?
have anyone taken them before? any opinions?

never heard about geog 253 but there`s mixed reviews on geog 213 w/ slezak.. i`m debating whether i should take it :drama:

i took 213 with slezak last semester (winter). his first midterm was brutal becuase it turned out you had to listen to every single word he said and remember it. he used to pull out questions on exams that ALOT of ppl didnt even remember hearing of. Some questions were really simple and others just came out of nowhere. We were able to find his past midterms from other ppl and he used very similar questions/topics so we were able to do well, but mainly because we got a hold of those. I still remember things like hearing ppl talking to eachother during the exam because some questions were so random.

however if you can get a hold of those midterms, then I recommend taking the class because you should do well

arky201 lectures are super boring. Labs are also super boring except for the one lab where you get to play in a sandbox. If you do decide to take it though, take it with Peter Dawson.
