Saw this guy at Home Depot on Saturday. Looks like he did a swap into an older GSXR with an electric motor. Thing looked bad ass. Wish I could have chatted with him.

i heard the top speed on these bikes are 120kms or somewhere around there?

thats awesome, can you imagine that thing whizzing by you high speed with just the sound of wind (or very slight electric motor noise), no high revving exhaust or high compression motor noise, will make some ppl shit bricks i bet

so... why arnt they doing this type of shit with more bikes. bet you its so much cheaper to run then a standard one.

I mean why cant they do this right from the factory?

That looks like the bike some of the students out here at Camosun built. If it is, they got it to hit some pretty impressive speeds.

They built one at UVic too haha. I think it was an old CBR for a donor bike.

More important questions would be what is the range on a single charge and how long does it take to charge the batteries?
