Anyone boat in the ocean and have knowledge about boat GPS? What is a good value system and does it tell you about hidden rocks and low depths?

That is called a sonar. It tells how deep you are and can see the bottom and fish swimming around

I have a fish finder that does read depths, but only works at very slow speeds, pretty much useless for predicting danger/rocks etc. I am looking for something where you punch in your destination and will show you a safe route to get there.

I don't know much about them, but the systems I've seen on the yachts, dive and fishing boats out here have all been pretty damn baller lol. I'd say go to a boat yard or fishing/boating store, they'll know what you're looking for

Don't cheap out on it man, all the sea going systems are pricey but they work awesome. What size is the boat?
