Ctrl + L takes you to your URL bar in a web browser
Ctrl + T = New tab

Also don't forget the great Windows key + D = minimizes everything... great when watching porn , i mean what?

If you accidentally closed a tab in Firefox, you can use CTRL+SHIFT+T to restore it.

I use Firefox, but I think most of these work for other browsers as well... haha I don't remember how I stumbled across most of these, but once you start using them I can't imagine going back!

Firefox
F11 = full screen
F5 = Refresh Page

Alt + Left Arrow = Back
Alt + Right Arrow = Forward

Ctl + N = new window
Ctl + W = closes a tab.
Ctl + T = opens a new tab
Ctl + L = links bar
Ctl + K = Google search bar
Ctl + F = Find

Ctl + [middle mouse wheel scroll up] = zoom in
Ctl + [middle mouse wheel scroll down] = zoom out

Ctl + Tab = Next Tab
Ctl + Shift + Tab = Previous Tab
(Same goes for Alt+Tab... Alt+Shift+Tab is the previous window)

Ctl + [click on a link] = Opens link in a new tab.
[click on a link with the middle mouse button] = same thing!

For those in university using MSWord (especially chem, you're welcome ;)):
Ctl + Shift + '+' = Superscript
Ctl + '+' = Subscript

I love how people think using the mouse is fast.
If you know these short cuts, I think it doubles my production in a given day...

*off to ask for a raise.
