CIvic question

Hey guys,

weirdest thing happened to me today. Just left work and stopped at safeway to pick up groceries. After I left safeway I got to a stop sign and my engine died. My lights were still on as well as my deck playing music. It wouldn't be my alternator or battery if my lights and music were still playing would it? I put my car into park and started it again and I was fine. The only thing different I can think of that I did diffrently was fill up at husky the day before with regular gas, which I believe is 90 octane vs. My regular Esso 89 octane.

Also on another random note; lately (last 2 gas tanks) I've been getting more power/better fuel economy without doing anything different. When I say that I mean my acceleration is faster and I got 470 clicks before I was empty vs. My regular 420.

Any idea why?

could be anything....although, those cars are known to have ignition ignitors go often, that could cause the engine to just die like that
