Anyone know about any Canadian websites or local places here in Calgary that sell Airguns? I am not looking for anything hardcore but pretty much just beginner stuff for some target practice in the backyard. I've always had spring action one's but now I would like to get a CO2 one or something.

And I am mostly interested in pistols/revolvers over rifles. I checked Canadian Tire, they have an ok collection but nothing I liked in CO2, which wasn't too expensive. Online I am able to find a decent CO2 semi-automatic easily for under $100, but don't want to risk not getting it through customs.

Couple of one's I was looking at was the H&K USP .177 cal. or the Crosman 357W Revolver.

So any Canadian websites that would ship the item within a day or two or local shops here in town? As far as I've read any pistol/rifle shooting under the velocity of 500fps doesn't need a PAL. So I would be looking for something under that.

Thanks!

if you want a sweet rifle i have a modded qb78. not registered

runs off 12?oz paintball tanks (have 2 tanks)

I would take $180 for the gun and tanks. (have about 300 into it)

Wow that's a sweet rifle! Although like I said right now since I am just getting into this, I want to start off with pistols. Which is what I am predominantly looking at as of now, but I shall keep that in mind.

Btw you say not registered? I didn't know these need to be registered....how does that work?

under 500 fps does not have to be registed as it is not considered a firearm. Over 500 yes.

Thanks for the link will check it out.

Although almost on the verge of purchasing this one. Watched a couple of youtube videos and this gone looks great, with blowback action and everything.

That website also seems to be in Canada.

blowback is pretty stupid and pointless on an airgun. It lowers the FPS and the amount of shots per canister because it uses gas to move the slide. Plus it's just more shit to break on your gun and adds no functionality outside of looking cool.

Yea I read that it goes through more gas. But the blowback must give a bit of a recoil. Obviously nothing like firing a real gun, but would be more than non-blowbacks though right?

it would be nothing like firing a real gun to begin with blowback or not. It's nothing more than a gimick. If you want something fun for looks you're better off getting an airsoft gun you can shoot around the house.

there are a few nice ones at wholesale

Crosman C31 (cheap but effective)

Walther P99

Baretta 92fs

If you want to fire a real gun to to The Shooting Edge in town and have at it. Then go shoot an airgun and see that it's not even close. I like airguns, airsoft and real firearms but you can't really compare them.

Well I've tried a couple of real pistols and rifles. So I know it's obviously not going to be anything like that. I am just basically looking for something that I can use to target practice in my backyard, that looks realistic and is still fun to shoot.

I like that Beretta in the link you posted, the other's I don't like the look off. Although I am not sure if I would like to spend that much on an air gun though. Which is why I am thinking of that Sig Sauer as well, cause it's not too bad price wise, plus like the fact that it's all metal, so will have a realistic feel to it.

look into airsoft then too. It can be a very useful tool in learning gun control and you can shoot it inside your house fairly safely. A plastic pellet will do a lot less damage than a metal one.

Yeap it's what I have always had. The plastic yellow BB guns. The one's I used to have were all spring-action one's. So you'd have to cock them every time before shooting, which is kinda fun in it's own way. All the other one's I've come across now look like plastic and transparent, so I don't really like them.

The Sig one also shoots BB's although the metal one's. I mean I wouldn't be using it inside the house obviously, but it should be alright in the back yard.

On a side note, that place you linked above. I was ordering couple of packs of CO2 and BB's from them and they quoted $30 shipping via DHL. lol
I think I might as well just rather go there and buy these things, rather than ordering online.

I have one of these... 2 clips (one working) belt holster, shoulder holster, Green Gas, and about 6000 BB's. Cant seem to buy these anymore in Canada. I dont really use it, so if you want... lol

I should have asked what your plans are with these airguns? there might be more suitable products for your needs...

EDIT: Work Computer pic fail!

It is a USP Compact Airsoft gun... Identical to the real H&K 9mm.

I've got one of these as part of my airsoft equipment: KSC Glock 17. I use propane in my mags so there's no purchasing co2 cartridges.

tig0ErEWkeg

Fires your normal 0.20 airsoft BB at ~280fps.

Definately not something that you can wave around though (ie: in your backyard where a neighbor might see it). They look real and can definately get you in a lot of trouble. You can pick them up at airsoft sites in Canada for ~200-250.

KWA USP 45, $240

Here you go!

http://www.007airsoft.com/main2.htm

My brother and his friends spend thousands of dollars on this site. I think Airsoft is the new paintball sport. These guns are like 1 to 1 ratio with the actually real guns. Check it out and visit him.

The person is located in Calgary as well!

He is also a big pain in the ass to get a hold of. Plus currently available Airsoft guns are garbage to what a person could get before Government stepped in. :(

I ended up ordering from that website Bigmass posted.

Got this cheap one. The same kit is going for $180 at Canadian Tire.

http://ca.wholesalesports.com/storefront/recreational-shooting/air-pistols/pro77-kit/prod255687.html

Also ordered more pellets, about 30 CO2 cans and stuff with it. Total came to $160. It was ridiculous paid $30 for DHL shipping within Calgary. But the fact I am even more pissed off about is that I still haven't got it. It's been like 5-6 days and they apparently ship from Calgary too! If you pay $30 for shipping in the same city, you'd think they should be knocking on your door the next day.

I have the walther p99 compact airgun and its pretty fun to shoot. It's CO2 powered and has blowback so it at least looks realistic. It also feels fairly realistic. The handle is plastic but the top slide is metal so it has a fair weight to it. Doesn't feel like a toy
