I thought about this idea when I was a kid :D When helpin my dad, he would ask for a certain socket, and then I would go get it. I thought "wouldn't life be easier if one socket fit all the bolts".............and then my dreams were ruined when I saw the TV commercial like a few months after :thumbsdow :D

i don't think it would be that strong, some of the bolts on my spirit are so siezed that they need a 4 foot bar on the socket, plus me standing on it.

They actually moved out of the Canadian market a few years ago.

You sure the one at CDN Tire is the genuine Gator-Grip brand?

"Gator-Grip® has been tested to over 150 ft. lbs. (it exceeds 200 ft. lbs. in lab tests) - equal to the torque of conventional sockets."

See how it works...... (http://www.endeavorproducts.com/ggrip/how.html)

If you've ever used the gator grip, you'll realize that it is incredibly awkward and almost useless on cars - sure, it works for bolts where there is a lot of room and such, but it's pretty much worthless for smaller areas and areas where you need maneuverability.

I'd have to agree, but it's still a useful tool nonetheless IMHO
