So a while back, an asian guy named Andrew Yip introduced himself @ a store I was shopping at (Rona). Asked if I wanted to be part of his business, selling nutritional supplies, etc. If I was interested in working part time and making around 3-5K/month then I should give him a call. So thinking hmm okay that doesn't sound too bad actually so I ended up giving him a call and he told me to go to some conference for training at this hotel (can't recall the name) in banff trail. Anyways a guy named Gary Sadden and such was trying to motivate a bunch of guys there and apparently I got reserved seating because I was an executive guest? Anyways, gary introduces Andrew in the front and Andrew is all like I'm so BAUSS. BOSS BAUSS BAUSS BAUSS BAUSS but I drive a POS but you know i'm rich and everything so you should work with us. Turns out it was one of those Amway pyramid schemes and the asked me to spend $500 for a bs registration fee. After going home that night and asking a few friends about what i encountered, most of them knew about Andrew and what a shady guy he is, told me to avoid him like the plague. I'm also pretty sure Graham_A_M can share more about this because he was pretty close to Andrew at one time.

Anyways, just sharing my experience.

Summary:Noob shady dude named andrew tried to own me by jackin mah cash in a pyramid scheme.

Ya...do your homework. There are shady schemes and a few out there that are legitimate. Not every MLM is a scam but most are. I’ve been doing one on the side for a while and it is making me some nice added income….which is a good thing because divorce lawyers bleed you dry! :banghead:

HAHAHA I have been approached by this guy so many times... He likes to take advantage of 1st and 2nd year business students who dont know any better.... and can often be found in scurfield hall.

If you are somewhat intelligent, just meeting the guy is a huge red flag. I would much rather have a high paying, fulfilling career then scamming others out of their money. I wish there was some legislation in Canada that cracked down on these businesses and the scum that run them.

And if you haven't heard about western financial group yet, avoid it as well. its pretty much the same concept. A quick scheme to separate you from your money.
