What is the value of a 16GB Iphone 4

Hey Guys,

I am in the process of renewing my fido contract and was looking for a bit of guidance. Right now, I am eligible for a Iphone 4 (either 16GB or 32GB). I am trying to get something good as far as a contract goes, and they keep trying to persuade me to go for the Iphone 4 which I have pretty limited interest in, I was just wondering what the market value would be on a Fido Iphone 4 as I would probably want to sell it to buy a Bold 9700 (a used model from Kijiji most likely), but I need to make sure that the value is high enough where its worth getting it from Fido vs just buying a 9700 from Wind/Rogers.

Any ideas?

Based on the other iPhone threads on here, I would say it should be worth at least a kidney.

Well, a brand new iphone 4 16g retails for $660, and is in high demand, so a little bit of premium, and a 9700 retails for $600.

If it's locked, you'd probably be able to sell it for $500 for the 16gb and $600 for the 32 gb. That's probably the max you can sell it. Any more and they'd probably end up buying an unlocked one instead.

An unlocked one can be had for $692 tax in for the 16gb and $818gb tax in at the apple store.

since it's carrier locked or will be, I would say 600ish but there's a lot of ppl out there (kijiji) that would pay more, and u could pick u a 9700 for like 400. so jb and unlock and sell it, make $200 easy.

Thanks guys for the input, I think thats what I will do, pick up a subsidized Iphone, sell it, and then put the money towards a used 9700.

Not bad, if I were to get $600 if I would let it go, I would end up breaking it anyways lol! I am just looking at the other Iphone4 thread and couldn't imagine waiting more than an hour in line for one leave alone nine hours!
