Just posting another photo opp.

Coles notes: colored orbs will be floating down the Bow River from Edworthy to downtown on Aug 21. Other events start Aug 15 and run until Aug 21.

500 spheres will be released into the river at Edworthy Park and will float down the river to Prince’s Island, where they will be diverted into the lagoon and collected by viewers and volunteers as a keepsake and to continue their story on land.

I wonder how many people are going to try and get their hands on one of these spheres?

there's still a couple sitting in the river just west of the crowchild overpass...apparently they got stuck out there by the current.

weird...there's one there, someone was a little premature...perhaps it's some sort of UFO that got horribly lost in the smoke.

I also saw blue internally-lit orbs on the Bow on Saturday, could have been a test run.

I had a meeting with one of the organizers from the City of Calgary last week and he mentioned this event, he also mentioned that at the end of the run when they fish the spheres out of the river, they will be giving them away to folks that want them....hope thats true.

It's true. Volunteers get first dibs, then general public who wants them can take them.
