Any feedback on Zen 8 and/or Chicago Chophouse?

Just curious thx. Zen 8 relocated to 4th and 3st SW across from the Westin and Ill be dining at CCH next week so would like to know whats good and whats not!

Zen8 = overpriced for no apparent reason. Barely above average flavour, but realllllly expensive. Can't comment on CCH.

Never usually order salads but to be honest the signature salad (cobb salad) is epic; Full chicken breast, proscuitto, boiled eggs, everything. Awesome place, recommended!

Zen 8 is only ok if you're going with work and company's paying. I wouldn't go there myself.

Chicago Chophouse is good, haven't been there in a while though.

I found CCH to be overpriced for the quality of the food there. YMMV.

CCH.... meehhhh. I'd rather go to Nick's by the university. The food is about the same quality but CCH is twice the price.

Zen 8 is over priced for average food.

CCH is hit and miss. I've had great steaks there and I've had ones that I had to send back.

If you want to spend more for steak, I've never been disappointed in Vintage.

Zen 8 is not bad food wise (some hit and miss), but it is severely overpriced for what you get. In fact, most mid to high end eateries downtown are severely overpriced. They cater mostly to company paid lunches where people don't care what they are paying, and Zen 8 is one of them.

If sushi is what you want, head to Zipang, which is a 5 minute drive. Expensive (still cheaper than Zen 8) but you get GREAT food.

I think for Zen 8 you're paying for the decor, above average looking serving staff and that's about it.

Its definately pricey for what you get.
