Chicago, IL. - Panasonic GF-1

Brought my GF-1 Micro 4/3rds to Chicago and spent a day just shooting. I love this camera, perfect for travelling.

I didn't get my wideangle lens yet, so I brought along a 0.7x wideangle adapter and attached it to my kit lens. Surprisingly, very little detail was lost, and I got a bit more width. Would've been better with a proper wideangle though.

The night shots, what ISO/EXIF did you use? They seem to have very little noise to them.

WEIRD, I was in chicago too?1!!?? I just got back from a Lolla and a week of touring around. Great city, unreal weather and unreal blues bars.

Anywhere from 100 to 800 ISO, depending on what kind of a shutter speed I needed. The only one that I remember would be the fire hydrant one @ 800ISO.

Thanks, my first baseball game. I can't believe how packed the place was at 1pm on a Wednesday, it's like nobody works haha.

The blues scene is the big reason why I love Chicago. Were you there the week before or after lolla?

nice, all the pics really emphasize what chicago is all about from what i can see and what i know about that city, even tho i've never been there.

you see some of those buildings are from the 20s - al capone mafia times, very cool

We stayed a week after lolla, we roomed at the Allerton - corner of Michigan and Huron.

We did catch Buddy Guys bday at his bar on Wabash the thurs before lolla, unreal blues...unreal.

We found a few really good spots in old town like "the underground". It's amazing to me that such talent hides in dark corners all over that city...they could be head lining in Calgary anywhere they want but they keep it real.

Did you happen to notice how cheap condo's and houses are in gold coast? fuck, I would move there in a second if I could find a place to hire me. The places are so fucking nice and so cheap.

Yea I was there a week before you. It's amazing how many talented musicians are down there.

I've been looking at real estate there since the downturn, but with the winters as harsh as Calgary, it doesn't make sense for me. I am, however, looking to spend 2 months a year down there, and will most likely rent. Even that is cheap.
