did you watch the videos

the bronco had no front tow point either... only one time that it would have been handy if he did have one, besides that it was all good

I did watch the video. I guess im not really sure how the Jeep would handle it, doesnt have offroad tires, just some extremely siped all seasons that are brand new. Im more worried about getting stuck in the mud or water than ground clearance.

If you ever get stuck there's more than enough people to drag you out though. Although I must point out how super nice it is to have front tow points, I'd rather not crawl around on the ground again. A Cherokee is way more than capable for the trail we went on.

Lol ask the rest about my blazers tires. Studded winters with no tread

I wasn't on the trip, but provided you've got decent tires I don't see why not. Heck, get bogged down and someone will yank your ass out, haha!

Anyone want to organize a run for early September sometime?

Well I dont have agressive off road tires, but I have brand new Michelin All Seasons, with less than 200km on them.

my bronco II only had all seasons with no lift or anything. it did it well for the most part. i really need to get a front hook. i got a Bambi basher in my shed that i could put on.

also i just went out and got both front calipers. man they are cheap for the bronco II only 86$ for the pair and i get 30$ back if i bring it the cores.

Ya let's do another run. I'm thinking of going to Maclean Sunday if any of you want to join?

My Truck should be running by then.
Its a stock 95 Explorer limited, So long as there isnt any watercrossing/big mud holes im down. The stock air intake location is in the bottom of the bumper.... As i found out after i hydro locked my engine last week.

I hydro locked my blazer 3 times in 2 days. It just takes a bit of cycling then it fires up and burns off the water

Oops. Double post :/

Well. Im pretty sure my engine is seized...

I had to get it towed home, and then i pulled my Plugs and it wouldnt turn over.

i pulled out my fan + rad and put a socket on my Main drive pulley(one off my crank) and couldnt get it to turn period.
(The starter was also heating up as i tried to start it)

One of my dads friends was telling me he had it happen to him a couple times and to put ATF fluid in through my Plug holes and let it sit + pull off the access hole for the torque converter bolts and check for mud.

anything else you guys could think of?

lol that's defiantly some time.

i keep seeing marvel mystery oil come up. for unseizing engines.

also saw pb blaster as another. i would try pb since i have never seen marvel mystery oil in stores.

MMO (Marvel Mystery Oil) is the shit. When I owned an rotary powered car (well, many rotary powered cars) I bought it in cases.

sgt_hawk
08-25-2010, 10:13 PM
Lmao Yeah just a little.

I just read that too about marvel, Pb works too? I have a can of that sitting in my truck so ill give it a good spray tomorrow.

Im hoping its just because it had water sitting in it for awhile before i could clear it out.
My other option right now is drop the oil pan and see if any rods are bent. Thats what i hear the worst damage that can happen is?

A snorkel would be a good idea probably but i dont want to go punching a hole through the side of a fender seeing as i want to sell the thing right now. I want to get myself a Cherokee and throw a 4.5inch Rough country lift and 33's on it haha :p

Unknown303
08-25-2010, 10:28 PM
I only have Sept 3-5 off coming up. Other then that the 12-23 is open for me but I may be leaving country for that if I can.

I've replaced enough MAS airflow sensors to buy everyone here a snorkel. Hahahaha.

Water never made it to the engine though.

Thats all i have ever heard about them, Im actually really excited to be planning on getting one as essentially my first car haha. The explorer was given to me from my dad who bought it new. (Im only 16 and been driving for under a month haha)

Im hoping the same.

I don't know why somebody would torch it, seems pretty pointless. At least it could have been towed out before and sent to a wreckers instead of turning into an eyesore that will probably catch bad attention from SRD.

Yeah there really are some idiots out on those trails who are going to ruin it for everyone.
