Dream Car - Merc E500

I saw a black one on deerfoot the other day and was like WTF is that and 'must have'

So I scoured kijiji and ebay, to no avail.

I'm asking for anyone with any information to feed my fantasy, whether that is an ebay ad, or a site that can import one, or what they usually go for.

Any information you have, I want this thread to be the ultimate resource for e500.

If you have a good online forum for e500 lovers post it up.

You can import them from japan yourself, which a large majority of them are as they were sold is such small numbers in NA (I think 1500 total)

Probably the nicest 300e i've seen, although it would be much nicer if it was a 500 with a dished wheel rather than extruded.

Zorro's looks even better in person, Run into it a few times on the road - almost always makes me nearly crash as I :drool:

There's a fricken awesome W108 I keep seeing around these parts, thing is mint - looks like it's been redone in that escalade pearl white, awesome deep dish wheels (BBS?), Thinks its gotta be air ride - as half the time I see it dumped into the weeds, other times it's running close to normal ride height...

Mine's just a 300E...I'm always tempted to get a 500E and start modding it all over again but in the end since mine is damn near how I want it, I'd be hard pressed to start again with the same chassis...I'd buy the one from Tunerworks if I were in the market.

Thanks for the compliments btw....I've always found the W124 to be one of the nicest looking sedans ever built and the 500E is cream of that crop...I have serious fender envy.

As for the difference, about 1200 parts, heritage and hand built in the porsche factory....nothing substantial...;)

I always noticed that there was a disproportionate number of E500's for sale in Japan. Here is a good example, late model year as well. You could probably get this landed for around ~15k
