Hey guys, never really started a build thread or anything..... Picked up this beat up GS300 for really cheap and started cleaning it up and modifying it.

So far here are my mods:

Performance:
-HKS super hybrid filter
-HKS Hi-power exhaust

Brakes / Suspension:
-Endless Zeal Funtion T coilovers (custom valved, custom springs)
-Supra 4 pot front brake calipers
-Goodridge stainless steel brake lines
-DBA 6 slot rotors
-Endless MX72 pads
-Endless RF650 fluid

Interior:
-JP headrests (rear seats)
-JP cushions
-JP kurotuna


Sound:
-Pioneer AVH-P4200-DVD headunit
-Focal 165KRXS front speakers
-Focal 130CVX rear speakers
-Focal 33KX Sub
-Steg Masterstroke MSC1500 amp (front speakers)
-Steg K2.01 amp (sub)
-Custom Enclosure
-Parcel shelf, and all 4 doors fully Dynamatted


I'm waiting on a ton more parts, will keep this thread updated as I install them.

Recent pics, found some SSR GT7's for cheap, decided to toss them on for now, IS300 fitment, so they look like totally sunken battleship :( but at least it's better than stock

-accident car, rear shocks were toast...one was bent and the spring wasnt seated properly.

-bodywork was done horribly where the accident repair was.

-minor rust forming in the rear quarters

-instrument cluster not working

-FILTHY, about a pot of coffee spilled in the shifter console, took me about 4 hours to pull it apart, take all the switches out and clean everything

-hackjob hansfree car kit installed, an abortion of wiring under the dash

-missing engine splash shield, engine bay filthy

-front bumper curbed and cracked

-brakes toasted (all 4 corners)

-spoiler not secured to trunk properly

-steering rack bushing shot, and unbelievable amount of play

-front upper control arms worn, lots of play in the ball joints.






it's all fixed up now, awesome daily driver / cruiser. already taken it on a few out of town trips and I love it.

SO..... update


went into the body shop to get some hail damage removed, as well as my trunk repainted and JP spoiler put on... I asked them to check out a little rust spot i saw on the rear quarter turned out that it wasn't just a little rust spot...

How much did it cost you to fix the rust?

7 hours repair at $80 an hour. didn't get charged extra for paint since it was already being painted in that area.

i'm running super low boost, and even still it still spins the wheels anytime i accelerate. found a nice decently dry piece of road and made a quick video. it pulls decent, a lot better than the ge, that's for sure.

can't wait to crank the boost up and get my summer wheels on it! Winter can go away now kthanks.

So since my purpose for the car has changed, I'll be changing springs from 22/20 to 18/15.

Got some more stuff on the way:

-greddy trans cooler
-greddy 4 row intercooler
-injector dynamics 1000cc injectors
-hks fuel rail
-ikeya forumla subfame spacers
-trd rear knuckle bushings
-hks twin power dli vehicle spec. harness

Also been talking to Figs Engineering, looks like I'll be buying every product they make for my car. He's also working on some front upper arms and caster arms.

haha you guys are funny. No i won't be drifting my 161 at Race City, i don't want to destroy it...I have a JZX90 to destroy :P

My 147 will never see the track again...EVER. I've put too much top quality / discontinued parts into it to just destroy it..I know it's not exactly a super expensive car like most members have on here, but it's something I've worked hard for with my small paycheck and it would be a shame to just throw that money away. It's still in the garage, it's pretty much all done, just have to hook up my gauges, make some seat rails, and tune it. Probably drive it around this summer then next year i'll send it in for body work...it's pretty rough, needs paint.

The silver GS is getting a Koyo Rad and 19 row trans cooler today...yay! Just heading to the shop now.
