How much would u think a new transmission on a 1996 Talon TSI AWD Cost??

I've seen them around for $700cdn.

Ya thats what i said to him, cuz the dealership said its gonna cost him $3500cdn for a new one

I have seen them for as low as 500, BUT finding one is rare, around 7 bill is fair going price...you might have to try U.S. wreckers...yes a lot of DSM Wreckers will ship to us...and if you want you can try places like Sheperd Racing...he builds DSM tranny's...and they hold power like depends hold pee...

Your best bet might be to get yours re-built...there is a place in Edmonton that does DSM Transmissions...if you have more questions feel free to PM me...

$3500? For $3500 you can get a built tranny. I think MachV sells one.

MACH V doesnt do trannies anymore...(that sounded a lil dirty)...but Shepherd Racing outta the US does them for WAY less than 3500...

Please check out this site before you plant any cash on a counter for a transmission...I am even thinking of upgrading my Tranny to one of Sheps Monsters...
