I've done bacon and extra cheese before.. but ground beef.. hmm. I've done 2 boxes at once, but felt pretty ill afterwards.

Oh, and run a little bit of cold tapwater in your sink, and pull it off the stove, dunk the pot in the sink a couple of times, and you can eat it right out of there...

90% of the time I'll pull out a fork, but sometimes I'll eat it off the wooden spoon I used to stir it up with. Fuckyea.

Spoon! Can't let the sauce slip through the fork man! And a bit of ketchup on the side sometimes, don't like stirring it all in.

That does sound pretty good! I would one up that though, add a bit of Old El Paso taco seasoning when you're browning the beef...

Fork with a couple of hard boiled eggs, no need for a plate or bowl just eat it right out of the pot. Oh and it must be cooked for no longer then 7min 30 sec from the time you pour it in to the boiling water to the time you drain it.

i used ketchup on kd till i turned like 12, now i eat it straight up like a man. sometimes i put margherita seasoning on it and a bit of cajun, but kd is at its finest in its purest form.

JfuckinC
08-27-2010, 05:29 PM
why so many forks? i dont chew KD so putting the most amount in my mouth at once is ideal, hence the larger surface area and concave shape of the spoon.

I once made a fresh bowl of soup. Just as I sat down to eat, my nose started to bleed (happens from time to time) bleed a few drops right into the soup. I was like :dunno: stir, nom nom nom.

And also, when I was in Vietnam, bought this delicious sandwich, one I had been craving for days. This Goliath of a meal was one of those sloppy two handers ya know. Took me first bit, om nom. Second bit, I realize a bunch of ants had crawled into and on my sandwich, with no free hands to brush them off, blowing was insufficient, and there was no god damned way I was going to spill any of those juicy contents by laying the glory down. Well, I started this thread, but have yet to respond. First of all - I love KD, but really only eat it about 5 times a year. But those 5 times are effing awesome. Spirals FTW! (It's all about the surface area-to-volume ratio; spirals hold the sauce better than the elbow noods.)

By instinct, I always grab a fork first. After a few bites, however, I *realize* that a spoon would be far superior, since it allows me to also scoop up some of the sauce, which I try to make semi-abundant with liberal use of 2% milk. mmm.

I grew up in the states, and would only put (lots) of ground black pepper on top. However, once moving to Canada, I was turned on to Ketchup + KD - BEST IDEA EVER!!!! I love Canada for many reasons, and KD + ketchup is one of them. I try to tell peeps back home about this brilliant concept, but they just scoff at me. It's really funny, though, because in the states you can buy a type of KD that had tomato flavor included in the cheese mix! I've never had it, but am sure that it's based on the Canadian tradition of adding ketchup to the dish!

KD with a spoon all day all night, so much easier. Its also very good with ketchup and cut up hotdogs.

Or with some beef with taco seasoning and salsa mixed together.

KD in a bowl needs a spoon and on plate it needs a fork.

I think used to much ketchup when i was younger so i am kind of sick of it now. You need to put franks extra hot sauce on with the milk and butter and lots of pepper. Good thing lunch is soon.

Tik-Tok

Depends how I make it.

Regular everyday KD - spoon
KD with grated cheese on top, and baked in the oven - fork.

Yeah Heinz has two different types of ketchup. Most of the stuff in the states is made with vinegar. Most of the ketchup we find up here is made with sugar.

1 Box KD
2 Juicy Jumbos

I'll add: it dawned on me that I only eat about two thirds of the packet of KD. So I'm throwing out 1/3 of the cooked noodle-like part, and 1/3 of the flourescent orange cheese-like part.
Now I just cook two thirds of the KD part, and add all of the cheese to that. Extra cheese-like goodness ftw.

p.s. I'm glad I took the ketchup part to heart. Never tried ketchup in KD until reading this thread.

All you spoon eaters are a bunch of twits. The fork is by far the best.

Each tine of the fork has to have a noodle. It's like a noodle utensil of greatness.

So I took a little inspiration from this thread, and made this:

Sauce:

1 can crushed tomatoes
1lb x-lean ground beef
1 red pepper
1 green pepper
1 big handful of white mushrooms
2 stalks of celery
1/2 spanish onion
1 bunch of green 'spring' onions.

big pinch of crushed red pepper
pinch of salt, 10 grinds of pepper
and some worchester shire sauce, all done in a slow cooker,

and a base of 2 boxes of extra creamy KD
and some old cheddar grated on top.

After I took it out of the oven it felt heavy, so I weighed it... 8lbs.

edit: and I just found out it's too big to fit into my tupperware (height wise, even if I cut the servings smaller)
