Acklands carries them i think but they may not have them in stock. Might need a few days to get them in.

Anyone that works for a NDT company may have a dual probe thickness guage that would work. I have one here at work that measures coatings +/- 0.001" but im not local.

Ackland no longer carries them. I think I'm stuck buying one online. The only place I found (Carlson's) wants $1000+ for them, and that's ridiculous.

Which model are they selling at Carlson? I think I paid 600 something for mine. Mine is pretty budget cuts compared to those newer ones which tell you the thickness of each coat. Although I have heard that those aren't that accurate.

well if you want one that actually works thats the one to go with, if you want one of those cheap magnetic ones for $50 don't expect to get much from it. If you want to see what the $1000 can do I have one
