I have no idea how this credit works, what it's for, nor why I got it.

Anyway, I got a letter that reads,

Credit previously held.........+ $94.50
Returned cheque............+ $558
Credit left on account......- $558

We hold credits when our records show that an individual's address is not valid.

There is a $558.00 credit balance on your GST/HSTC account.

And at the bottom there's a cheque for $94.50. How do I get the rest of it?

Yes, I called them, they're closed.

We used to get the GST/HST rebates when we were below a certain household income level. In Alberta I think it is $45K or something. But now that I make ridiculous amounts of money, they don't give us the rebate. Not sure if this is the same thing you have.

edit: note the sarcasm.

Define ridiculous? A friend of mine thinks $70k is ridiculous.

I called them again today, there's a credit on my account and someone there made a mistake and didn't approve the remaining balance, just the $94.50 I got. So they made a mistake, my questioning was justified. Thanks anyway.
