My buddy told me theyre good quality and only $100 tops. The guy even comes to your house if you want and installs it. Is it safe to trust AM windshields?

Depends on the car I put it on.

Don't know of any 100$ installs, but I paid 180$ to have my g/f's 93 civic to get an aftermarket windshield. It cracked recently, and its really hard to say if it wouldnt have if it were another make.

It more so has to do with the cost difference and who is installing it.

But I'd pay the extra 100$ to get a proper windshield for a newer car, or anything worth over 10,000$ in my opinion.

Especially a cadilac or m5 with HUD lol.

I'm not satisfied with aftermarket windshields. They seem to chip easier, and cause more heat. If it's just a beater car, it's alright, but I really hate the one in my Audi and MR2 (not that I can get OEM for the MR2 anymore)

k thx.

Do you think putting car alarm on $5500 02 Civic is a waste of money? I was told its not worth it but Hondas are easy to steal thats why insurance was so high way back on them. Car alarms start at what $150?

Find a company that installs PPG windshields. These are oem. BTW most dealerships outsource companies to install the windshields, so find that company and cut out the dealer.

most dealers do outsource the labor but an OEM windshield will always be better than a/m.

i had an a/m one installed in the wifes Sienna and it had 2 chips within a week and cracked the same day the second one happened. i didn't even have a chance to get the chip repaired...

You can buy an Audi at Glenmore Audi, Royal Oak Audi, or many fine used car establisments. You can buy the iPhone at Apple, or other cell phone retailers, and I have seen the lighter iPhone bendy cord thing at Costco

I don't like how aftermarket windshields looks so wavy in the inside when you look at them from an angle.
