E36 question

ok, pretty newb question here
do all E36 BMW coupes have the exact same body shape and styling, no matter if its a 318, 325 or 328?

Correct, as long as it's not a TI model... which means it's a hatch back.

cool, I was pretty sure aobut this until I was at tunerworks.com and I saw a special on for M3 front bumpers which said that they will only fit a 318 or 325.

Well I'm pretty "new" to the BMW scene. Perhaps there's a difference in the frame that I'm not aware of. Rob has an account here on Beyond -- I'm sure once he find this thread he will be able to clarify everything up. :)

No differences, you can put a REAL M3 bumper on a 318 no problem...

Just like they said. The M3 front bumper will fit any 318, 325, 328 coupe, sedan or vert on any E36.(92-up)
I think only the sides are a bit different on the 2 door vs 4 door. And I think someone told me the rear is different on the 2d vs 4d, can't remember for sure though.

All E36 coupe look "almost" the same, however, different models, different yr, their grills, bumpers, trims are slightly different :D

M3 bumper can fit on E36.

The biggest different is, from 92 to 96 (318is, 325is) look about the same, and from 97 to 99 (318is, 323is, 328is) look the same, but different with early model. :poosie:

P.S Sedan, coupe, M3, hatch back have different bodies.

thats just what the site said. It showed a M3 front bumper and said it fits 318 and 325 but didn't mention any other E36 vehicles.
But anyways as long as their all the same it doesn't matter, must just be a mistake.

the m3 bumper will not fit an m3...because they assume youre not dumb enough to upgrade to the exact same bumper

i believe that the m-tech body kit will fit all sedans and coupes no problem...

Ti's are sedans from the b-pillars forward
