Another Question about tire fitment

Long story short I have a few sets of winter tires sitting in my garage from previous vehicles I have and I was thinking of just tossing a set onto my wives Rav4 this year if they would fit.

The Rav4 has a stock 18" rims and 235-55 tires.

I have a set from my old Sti which is 245-40 and another set from my old FX which are 255-55. (don't own either vehicle anymore)

Does anyone have any input on what would be the best to go with or should I just buy another set of tires this year?

Neither of those will really be close enough to interchange properly onto the Rav4. One would be far to small and one would be too tall and wide. You would be better off trying to sell both old sets and roll the money into a proper sized set man...
