if you can afford to drive a lambo you would think you could afford to buy brand new wheels instead of used

Clearly, this is what happens when you don't have manly rims :poosie:

Either the alloys and or casting cooldown process was not correctly done. Thereby the metal grains did not align, hence shear, tension, compression failure. Be sure to know where your rims are manufactured and how.

btw, Kazera rims are junk. Go VOLK :)

hahah i like how they try to blame it on someone refinishing the wheels. it`s clearly a manufacturing defect.

this is why i`ll stick to Work and SSR

^ please provide proof of that.

Even if the old paint was sandblasted off, this shouldn't of happened.... not even by a long shot.

I hear the baking part of powder coating weakens wheels.
Which is why you should stick to painting them instead.

He's right. Especially on aluminum wheels if they arn't prepped and powdercoated properly you can weaken them by something like 40%.

Ah, my bad. Sorry for some reason I was thinking of steel wheels. I totally forgot, my apologies.
Yes absolutely sand blasting aluminum will destroy it, as will heat related issues.

In the thread it states that those wheels were replicas... goes to show that when you try to take short cuts in modding your car, it only leads to bad things. A couple replica companies are notorious for this...
