How would I take these things off the truck without damaging the truck or the paint? What type of products or tools are need to do this job? It used to hold up a bug deflector.

use a heat gun or boiling water to soften the adhesive.

Then use Goo Gone to remove the residue.

You can try butane (lighter fluid)-when I was in the picture framing business we use it all the time to remove spray adhesive overspray and not damage the finish on posters, photographs, etc.

For the bump stops, heat gun for 5 seconds, peel off, use mild solvent or adhesive remover for residue

For 3M squares, pick at a corner and pull away from the square, do not fold it over and pull or the adhesive will remain on the paint, do not use a heat gun, then a light solvent for any remaining adhesive.
