I have been seeing a lot of ON plated cars around town lately. Anyone know what the deal is? Is there a new influx of sorts?

Manufacturer's Test drive vehicles are usually from ON. What kind of cars are these?

Probably just tourists...

My guess is that they are cars registered in ontario? But maybe it's just me. :dunno:

What is your definition of 'a lot'?

Maybe it's just tourists or students that moved for Uni. I see ON plates more frequently lately, at traffic lights, driving around town etc. Always check plates while driving, and just happen to notice more and more of them lately. By contrast, less Saskatchewan plates, which I used to see more of a couple of years ago.

It's because people drive their whips from ontario into calgary, and then you see them :dunno:

I've noticed them too

All it really shows is how bad things are there relative to how good they are here. After 2008 I saw less and less, until recently, either things are picking up here or things are getting worse there.

I have seen quite a few also but I'm assuming they are just tourists...

Probably has to do with those news reports saying how the oil fields are going to be short gajilliions of workers.

Ah they can all run back home and stay there. it was nice during the recession when the roads got a lot emptier

Noticed them too. Namely the d bag in the '97 faded Red Talon this morning thinking his 30-50km/h acceleration in rush hour is tha bombdiggidy.

Ontario has bad unemployment problems in many areas and Saskatchewan is the opposite... which is probably the reason why you are seeing what you see around the city.
