Hi,

I have a few questions regarding the class 5 road test (Basic)

1. Can I make a right turn when its red, but safe to do so?

2. What does it mean "failure to stop when leaving a parking lot?"

3. Do I have to have my right signal on when making a parallel parking?

4. Do I need to touch the curve when in downhill parking?

Thanks.

1. yes
2.means you failed to stop before leaving the parking lot
3. yes other drivers need to know what the hell you're doing
4. your front tires should be touching and turned towards the curb.

Thanks 93VR6

Regarding #2, is there a stop sign in those parking lots that I need to stop or it is a the rule that when leaving the parking lot, I have to stop before I proceed?

Again, thanks.

It is just a rule, it is where most kids fail.. I remember @ AMA they kept telling us 2 make sure we stop before leaving the parking lot...

you should come to a complete stop regardless if theres a stop sign or not when leaving the parking lot...

Stop BEFORE the sidewalk, then creep forward to open vision if you need, clear? Then go.

All the answers are in your handbook :dunno:

I would suggest having a read through it if you are going on your road test...

1.) Yes as long as you stop first. It is considered a stop sign as long as there is no other signage.

2.) You didnt stop leaving a parking lot? You must yield to the road you are exiting onto.

3.) AFAIK yes

4.) First it is curb, second I think you have to have the tire facing the curb and touching. It has been many moons since I took that test however.

When doing a road test, running a stop sign is an immediate fail.

Make sure you don't do that!

*Info for future drivers I guess

Sweet. Make sure you do a HID swap on your moms Corolla. Chicks love crappy looking headlights.
