Saw this on another board and thought we could try it here. My dad use to have a 64 Pontiac that never came with a trunk key..when we finally got it open there were 4 boxes of porn mags :D

On another site guys have found needless, heroin, tools, coffee cups that were stuffed behind the fenders on the assembly line, underwear, machete's, ciggy butts in the oil pan, bottle caps in the lifter valley of engines, bottles in the frame rails etc

When I sold one of my old cars, i made sure to give it a really good clean out.

Opening up the glove box rewarded me with $40, my back-up pair of glasses, my Chumbawumba CD, and my blackberry case!! It was one of the best days of my life!

When I bought my first car, I gave it one hell of a clean. I found almost $15 in change!

Last weekend, I finally cleaned out the trunk of my current car. I found all of my missing assignments from last semester. :banghead:

When I was 18, I used to inspect vehices at ADESA out in Airdrie. Alot of GMAC, and GE Finance Repo and lease returns go through Adesa. Some of the stuff I found:

-Dildos...cock rings...etc
-Porn
-More Porn
-$1k in counterfeit USD. (Pretty poor quality)
-Digital Camera
-Bear Spray (kept that!)
-Various Knives
-Handgun Magazines/clips (empty)
-Endless amounts of CD's

The worst vehicles were always from the Morley reserve

I bought a Lincoln Mark Viii, and found about $100 in casino chips, and about $50 in loonies stuck in the crevass between the back seats and the trunk.

Also, after getting rid of a Mustang GT I had for a couple of months, the next owner told me he found a large vial of hash oil under one of the seats.

Wow ... you guys got me beat ... weirdest things I found was an oven mitt and a hatchet in my old Cavalier.

I'd say the loose yoga CD in my current car is odd, but it's a miata, so it's actually kinda fitting.

I really want to make a joke about "coondoms" but I'm worried my post will get removed and I'll get one of those warnings....

On topic, in my old student driver car I found a black-faced Swiss Military watch with half the strap missing; bought a cheap strap, got a good watch.

my first S13 240 in HS, had to change a light bulb for the reverse light and in there was a bloody (looked like someone had a bloody nose kind of bloody) golf glove and a golf ball in the compartment that houses the tire jack.

2nd S13 240 a stank ass windbreaker pair of pants shoved into the spare tire area, like from the early 90s (maybe in there since the first owner?? o_0

(3rd and latest S14 240 nothing and i mean spotless :( , im the second owner and the first guy was a ned flanders neat freak)

the costanza i had for a bit had an extra key in the ashtray to one of the other cars that was on the used car lot that i got it from i think it was for a V6 mustang vert or something like that, lots of crazy things went through my head at the time cause i was involved in 'the wrong crowd' in which they could've used those keys and i could've made some .. $, but i never ended up doing anything with it, still somewhere in the stanza which i saw @ PnP a few months after i donated to the kidney foundation.

i've found more interesting things just walking to and from HS to the train station back in the day (went to school down town), i.e wet soaked cig pack that i just felt like kicking with $170 in cash in it, laid it out to dry in my locker all day lol

and a bunch of dope under the driver seat.. Musta belonged to a dealer lol

I'll show you. When I was scraping some rust off of the rear quarters on my S13, I felt a giant chunk of loose metal inside. Turned out to be these (I guess the aerosol can exploded in the car at one point haha):

Otherwise I've found a million pens, an eminem cd, garbage, cleaning supplies (went to good use once I found them haha) and the comes then grand daddy of it all. I didn't take a picture because it was hardly legible, but I posted my find as my status on FB, and my friend made a comic strip out of it, word for word:

The rear cup holder of my Matrix wouldn't close properly, so eventually I got annoyed and OCD'ed so I poked around and noticed the trim panel below it was kinda bent, so I popped it free and found

a foil wrapper (cigarette pack)
a lighter
and the previous' owners pink slip. Name, address, everything.

Now my rear cupholder closes properly and I have a lighter.

Great thread! I had found some good stuff in my former cars I had owned. My last van (still have it) - found a 1970s pop bottle opener with the brand name "7-UP", one shiny carpenter's pencil - unused from the '70s and some coins of which one penny was dated 1954. Also found some newspaper stuffed inside one of the wall supports - dated May 1971 with some cool classifieds listing used cars for sale... that make me cry seeing CHEAP prices for classic cars!

The most money I'd gotten was almost $20 in loose change in one old Dodge car where I was parting out dashboard parts off there. Whoever owned that car must had stuffed the coins in the ashtray! I use that change to pay for the parts LOL - free for me out the yard.

Oddest find I made was one small axe under the driver's seat. That I don't want to know why it's there! I flipped the car sold as I feel is bad karma for me ... it was a POS car anyway.

A found a butter knife, a taco shell, a piece of paper with cheese whiz smeared on it, a single shoe, a contact lens, and a can opener.

Not sure why anyone would have ANY of the items in a single car, but that's the way the cookie crumbles i suppose.

Then later cleaning the car up a half eaten sandwhich and a block of noodles in a wrapper in the engine bay.

When I bought my civic, I did a pretty thorough lookthrough, nothing but a 1990's map of Calgary that was severely weather damaged (looked like the dude tried to read it in the rain, OUTSIDE the car), and about $10 in change under the driver and passenger seats. :dunno:

Nothing exciting.

However, at Pick Your Part when I had to get a replacement driver's seat for my car (the old owner was seriously 400+ lbs and had broken one of the seat boltdowns), I took a dig through the wrecker car to see if there were any interesting items-of-opportunity to grab. I found a porn dvd, a nice knife (ivory handle with a 440 steel blade), and a full toolkit in the trunk (which I still have <_< >_>), one of those Jobmate minikits with ratchets and screwdrivers.

I recently bought a FC rx-7 as a summer toy, and while cleaning it up and starting to work on it I found a few interesting things and although I am sure these are not the most interesting by far, it got me wondering what you guys have found in cars you bought?

I'll start:

86 Porsche 944 NA: The seats slope down towards the back and if you wear dress pants they will empty your pockets down onto the floor on both sides of the seat. The hand brake is on the left in this car and the carpet has an opening around the handle. When I bought the car I saw a toonie sitting down there so I pulled the carpet back a bit to get it out, and found many more. A total of $42 in toonies and loonies (no smaller change) was found under the carpet beside the handbrake

87 RX-7 GX: On the way home I heard a rattle coming from the armrest area. Knowing the hinge was broken and worrying more about the worn out tires, non-functional speedometer and other issues I didn't bother looking into it right away. When I got home and opened the arm rest I found this:
http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/8446/20110422173841.th.jpg (http://img52.imageshack.us/i/20110422173841.jpg/)

There was about 1.5" of change in the armrest, approximately 3lbs (since it was all small change it only totaled a little over $9), 4 lighters a $25 petro-canada gift card (still need to check if it has anything on it) and a bunch of pens. As I removed the change I found that there was almost a 1/8" thick layer of ground up pot in the bottom of the arm rest and some torn up baggies.
Later that afternoon I pulled the shifter boot off to check the bushings and found a PILE of pot ashes and a half-burned joint.
Also, there was a decent cd in the deck (old crows young cardinals)

So, what have you guys found in cars you bought?

A buddy of mine bought a 97 jetta off some g'd up guy then got a call a few hours later the guy called and said he forgot something in the car. He met up with him, the guy pulled the inside door handle loose, reached inside and grabbed about a 1/4 of blow and said "thanks" then left...that's all I've got haha

I found about $150 in a mixture of poker chips and loonies wedged between the rear seat and the trunk of a car once.

In another car which I recently sold, I found out the owner previous to me had stashed some hash oil under the seat. Apparently, it was high grade stuff.

I found a pair of pliers stuffed beside a radiator support on my gf's car too.

Probably most interesting finds came out of my old Reliant Scimitar GTE. It came with some what looked like to me horse equipment, heavy chains, a neat suction cup mounted electric window defroster and best of all a vintage Fuzz Buster II radar detector. Its from the early 70s and has a differs from the original Fuzzbuster by the addition of K-Band. The oh so fake wood grain finish and over sized amber light give it a nice 70s vibe. According to The Radar Detector Museum it was produced by Electrolert Corporation in Troy, OH, USA.

That Fuzzbuster is awesome! I found one just like it in my Dad's shop years ago, it still kinda worked i know because a RCMP clocked me outside sundre one day and the Fuzzbuster bellowed this awful beep, It was way too late though. The cop had a good laugh when i showed it to him. It got left in a car in the field and went with the car when crusher time came.

Most interesting thing i've ever found in a car was a live Eel in a bag of water when i worked for Avis. The owner had someone pick it up later that day.

Pretty sure there was a thread about this sometime last year...anyways, always a good read!

'92 240SX: The car got hit in front of my house for the SECOND time, and since this time it was my brothers friend I figured I could save him some cash by pulling the rear seats out to save on labor. In the process, I found the most rusted out tools and a aerosol can that was missing almost a third of its body, all resting inside my quarter panels (which are equally rusted). But then, came the crazy thing. I was pulling the rear seats out and I found old cd's, busted glass, candy, and a resume belonging to a girl who worked at Flesh Gordan's in London Ontario LOL. I would have taken a pic but it was ripped in half (the last name portion was also missing so I couldn't facebook her) and almost the whole thing was almost illegible. I posted that as my status on facebook, and a friend of mine who makes web comic based on status updates made the cartoon at the bottom:
